River North Marina - Service Writer
Position Description
Summary: Responsible for
customer work order write up, entry, tracking and follow up with
customers. Maintains work order workload for all technicians.
Writes up, tracks and provides estimates for sub-contractor work orders.
Schedules dockside assistance for repair and preventative work orders.
Responsible for operation of the Service department when Service manager is not
present. Directs work orders to parts manager as needed. Moves boats and
Personnel water craft as needed and enters location in tracking system.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities
Greets customers and prepares
written work orders per customers instructions.
Schedules all work orders and
relays to the customer approximate cost and time of repair.
Maintains repair order
scheduling from all techs and provides management with updates.
Contact customer regarding
additional repairs or costs associated with repairs of customer approval
Communicates with Service
Manager regarding all active, closed, and pending work orders.
Works closely with management
to work out workload problems or deviations
Assist in overall service
operations by answer phones an assisting customer at the sales counter or parts
needs.
Performs any duties that are
not listed as prescribed by management.
Experience
& Qualifications
-Computer
experience preferred
-Boating experience a must but not Required
-Must
be familiar with trailering and moving boats and personal watercraft with a
vehicle or tractor.
-Must have valid driver's/boating license
(boating license can be obtained while in training)
